ICAO drone symposium to deliberate on challenges for unmanned aircraft systems

The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Drone Enable Symposium would be held in April next year over a five-day period. It would be held online.
The symposium, to be held from 13-15 and 20-21 April 2021, is themed on 'Addressing Tomorrow's Challenges Today' and would bring together key stakeholders from industry, academia, government and international organisations in the unmanned aviation sector to deliberate on the best practices, lessons learnt, research material and challenges regarding the introduction of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and UAS traffic management (UTM).

"The symposium will showcase the breadth of existing technologies, ongoing research and development, as well as describe commercial and non-commercial activities in this rapidly evolving sector of the aviation industry," ICAO said in its website.
Days two, three and four of the symposium would feature speakers who had comprehensively responded to the problem statements mentioned in Request for Information (RFI) this year related to the advancement of the ICAO UTM framework.
